The New Year’s Resolution…

Christmas has come and gone, now it’s time for the year and we all know what that means… New Year’s resolutions! Losing weight, eating healthier, staying fit, spending less money and spending more time with family and friends, among many many more. Why do we always make them just to break them a couple of months later? What is the point?  I have been racking my little brain to try and come up with a resolution that I would and could keep. I want it to be something realistic. Ya know know what I mean? So I finally decided what I am going to ATTEMPT this year as my resolution… I am going to try and grow my relationship with the Lord. I want to also try and hit my goal weight which probably won’t happen, but I’m going to try my hardest. I’m on Weight Watchers so I’m losing weight as we speak but I really want to reach my goal by the end of 2017, I’m not far away, I just have to be a little more diligent is all. However my main goal is to grow closer to the Lord. Ive always had my faith, but this past year -2016- has been extremely trying and I have had to put a lot more trust in him and I’ve seen prayers answered, so I decided that in 2017 I wanted to grow my faith even more.

I have been looking at articles online on how to keep your resolution, and I found a couple of articles giving steps on how to keep you New Year’s resolution… They’re all pretty similar. The article I liked and that seemed the most simple and straightforward was from, “7 Steps For Making a New Year’s Resolution and Keeping It” the seven steps are…

1. Just pick one thing.

2. Plan ahead.

3. Anticipate problems.

4. Pick a start date.

5. Go for it. (100%)

6. Accept failure.

7. Plan rewards.

It seems pretty simple and straight forward if you ask me. There are numerous articles online for “how to keep a New Year’s resolution” so take a look around google and/or bing to find ways to keep your resolution. It might be helpful, you never know. I even read somewhere that people make resolutions to NOT make a New Year’s resolution -lol- Last time I checked that’s still a resolution, but to each his own.

So what about you, are you going to make a resolution for the New Year of 2017? How do you plan to keep it up? Are you planning on tackling more than one? Is it big or small? Either way I want 2017 to be a little better than 2016 if that’s all that happens I’ll be a happy little camper.
Leave a comment, let me know. I’d love to hear from you.

Until next time. XOXO Anna!
