💕Favorite Face Powders💕

Hello Lovelies, how is everyone? Happy, healthy and gorgeous I hope😊.

Today I decided I wanted to share with y’all my favorite face powders. I have 4 that I interchange on a regular basis, and I am ALWAYS reaching for these and I have a few ‘honorable mentions’ as well.

My most used powder, the one I’ve hit pan on I believe this will be my second time now is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Powder (100/translucent). I’m not entirely sure if they intended the translucent to be a finishing powder or just a blotting powder with no tint, either way I don’t care. I use this powder to set certain foundations, if you use to much you will end up looking fake*like with any other powder*, but just a light dusting to set the oily spots is helpful. Even though it says translucent it still has a very slight light tint to it but nothing major. I find that it does help with my oiliness, I wouldn’t say it completely diminishes it, but it does help.

The second powder I reach for the most would probably be the L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte 16H Powder (Porcelain). I know for a fact that this isn’t intended to go on top of foundation, BUT that’s what I use it for most of the time. I have have been obsessed with the Pro-Matte foundation and powder since I first tried them. I typically only use the powder when I’m wearing a lighter coverage foundation and I want to control my oil and add a tad bit more coverage. You can go to far with this powder a lot quicker than with the matte+poreless powder, so be careful. I also have one foundation that I love that is just a tad to light on my skin *believe it or not lol* so using this powder helps get back my color.

Next is a loose powder, Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder (05/fair). I had seen this circulating around YouTube so I finally decided to try it after my favorite YouTuber ThaTaylaa talked about it and the fact she isn’t a fan or user of loose powders got me interested. Once I tried it I was hooked, I have to say I like it way better than my Laura Mercier powder and that’s been a loved powder for a long time for me. I like the finish this powder gives even though it isn’t translucent, it doesn’t look cakey or fake. The powder is a fine mill and I like that and even in high end brands some aren’t as fine as this is. I feel like this powder evens out my complexion without weighing me down.

Last but certainly not least… Mac Cosmetics x PatrickStarrr Set Powder, I wont lie I was pressured into buying this. I saw so many people using and raving and loving this powder that I broke down and bought it, I don’t own many Mac products, just my paint pot and fix+, after trying this powder I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting to actually like it, but I really enjoy it. The powder itself isn’t heavy, it doesn’t look cakey, it’s soft and the texture is great. When I’m looking to get an on point look and I go all out with my makeup *SUPER rare occasion* I use it to set everything and I just love the way it sits and even after my natural oils come through, because I am an oily girl, it still looks good. I feel like it kind of helps my foundation from going down hill as quickly*depending on which foundation I’m using*.

Honorable Mention:

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder (001/transparent) I really like this powder because it is great at keep my shine in check, however no matter how I apply it, it always looks cakey. I can apply with a puff, fluffy and dense brush and still it always winds up they same way, but I still feel like it deserves to have a spot in this post.😊

Well I hope you all enjoyed this non-informative post😆 I just thought it would be a fun post to talk about some of my favorite products, especially the once’s I reach for whenever I wear makeup.

Until Next Time💋💋
